An teenage youth has been sentenced to life behind bars with a lowest term of 16 years for the killing of other student Harvey Willgoose during a lunch break.

The perpetrator knifed the deceased, also aged 15, into the cardiac area with a large blade at the city's educational institution in February.

"You were the aggressor and... you proceeded in distress and fury at what you regarded to be his treachery of your relationship," declared the court official during sentencing.

All Saints Catholic High School published a announcement conveying that Harvey was "deeply remembered every daytime by the entire educational community".

Investigators emphasized the tragic consequences of possessing weapons, noting that a "momentary choice" can irreversibly transform numerous lives.
