Football Player Welsh Athlete Ramsey Boosts Reward for Lost Canine in Mexican Territory to £15,000
Welsh athlete Aaron Ramsey has increased the reward for leads about the missing pet Halo to $twenty thousand dollars.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff player, who currently plays for Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, stated that Halo was spotted in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato zone.
Halo, who vanished on 9 October, was equipped with a dog tracker collar, and the footballer shared a map pinpoint of where she was last seen.
"Any sort of news concerning our pet Halo kindly contact us. Big incentive for locating her. We are all praying she is safe and can be back to our family soon," the athlete wrote on Instagram.
Earlier Reward and Emotional Pleas
The footballer first announced that Halo had gone missing a fortnight back and has since posted several images of the adored dog on his social media account.
A $$10k reward was initially offered, but with no news on Halo's whereabouts after a seven days, Ramsey and his family increased the reward.
"Our only wish is Halo back," he stated in a further request on his online platforms after the decade-old dog disappeared.
The most recent picture share is a black and white snapshot of Halo sleeping, her head lying in the curve of the athlete's elbow, with the description: "What I wouldn't give to hold you one last time sweet Halo."
Family's Anxieties and Context
The footballer has also shared a statement from his spouse Colleen on social media indicating they have a few "pressing questions" surrounding the event and are concerned the family "might not receive answers".
"We still haven't found our dog. It is unlikely we will," his wife's update stated.
The Welsh captain joined Mexico's top-flight team Club Universidad Nacional in recent months and had his first appearance in Liga MX in August.
The Caerphilly-born footballer is the initial well-known British Isles athlete to compete in the Mexican league.
