British Ticket-Holder Wins £26 Million Euro Millions Top Prize
An individual UK ticket-holder has won the twenty-six million pound European lottery grand prize, lottery officials have verified.
The successful digits selected on the Friday draw were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06.
This marks the 3rd EuroMillions top prize secured in the Britain so far this year out of 10 drawn up to now.
At the start of the year, an individual secured £83m, followed by a £65m Valentine's prize. Both winners opted to stay anonymous.
Yet, the successful player of Saturday's ten point six million pound Lotto top prize has still not appeared.
A top consultant encouraged ticket holders to check carefully to check their tickets and electronic messages.
The successful Lotto digits for the Saturday draw were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the bonus number was 42.
"Our team is ready to give advice and provide specialists who can support successful players make the most of the jackpot for themselves and their loved ones," the representative commented.
The EuroMillions win will be verified against the official rules, and after confirmation, the successful player will choose whether to reveal their identity.
Despite turning them into a millionaire, the recent win of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the top European lottery jackpot winners.
A jackpot of more than £183 million would have been needed to secure a place in the leading ten of biggest payouts.
The biggest prize claimed by a UK player is £195 million in two years ago, according to the lottery.
Although it is difficult to hit the prize, it is easier than people believe to fail to claim it.
An individual missed out on a one million pound jackpot recently after not claiming a EuroMillions prize within the 180 day time limit, meaning the money was instead donated to National Lottery-funded projects.
The largest EuroMillions jackpot to go unclaimed in the Britain was £63.8m in the summer of 2012.
The EuroMillions game is held every twice weekly across nine European countries.
